Truman Corridor Launches New Website

The Truman Road Corridor Association has just launched its new web site. The site is: www.freewebs.com/trca
The site is designed to link merchants, organizations and area residents in the ongoing advancement of business along the Truman Road Corridor. If that sounds like a mission statement - it is! (Lifted directly from their site, thank you very much)

The new site profiles TRCA's advancement of their CID (Community Improvement District) as well as other initiatives and activities the association is involved in.

ALDI applies for liquor license

ALDI grocery store at 721 Paseo Blvd. applied this past Thursday for a package liquor license.
Some neighbors in Independence Plaza, Columbus Park and Pendleton Heights neighborhoods are unhappy about the prospect of another liquor store in the area — and the characters liquor stores so often attract.
Others, however, including ALDI Vice President Mark Bersted, point out that ALDI would be a more responsible liquor vendor in the neighborhood, as the store only sells wine and beer.
One thing's for sure — since Queen's Grocery Store's liquor license went inactive recently, someone's going to try to get a license to fill that void.
